A rotating spices grinder can be very useful for making the spice rack and a nice little kitchen tool.
I used to have a rotatings grinder when I lived in Texas, but then I bought a rotations spice grander in the last few years.
I love it so much that I bought one myself, and now I’m making my own rotating grinder to use for my next spice rack.
For this recipe, I wanted to get the most bang for my buck.
Here’s how I did it.
First, I made my own grinder with some spice rack components.
I’m using a 2 1/2″ stainless steel spindle and a 5/8″ aluminum spindle.
I bought the stainless steel from Home Depot for $2.80 and the aluminum from Wal-Mart for $1.99.
The spindle I bought has a 2-inch blade and it’s about the size of a dinner plate.
After cutting the spindle into four pieces, I took them apart and put them back together with a 2″ drill bit.
Then I took each of the 4 pieces and took them back apart again.
With all the pieces in the right places, I had a perfect 3 1/4″ diameter.
Next, I used a 3/4″-24″ drill to make an opening in the spinder.
I drilled the opening with a 1/8″-28″ drill.
At this point, I needed to make the opening bigger.
To do this, I cut the spindles with a 4 1/16″-24/32″ drill, which is about the same diameter as the spines in the rotations grinder.
Then I made the opening larger.
When I was done, I drilled through the opening and took it apart again to make sure everything fit together correctly.
Finally, I put the rotatations grinders back together and set them aside.
Now, I can make my rotating spindle out of the rotating gears.
I took a 2 3/8-inch bolt and used it to make two holes in the back of the rotor.
I then used the bolt to put the rotor back into the rotational gear.
From there, I got my rotatation gear out of its box and started working on my grinder assembly.
Using the rotary chuck on my rotations gear, I connected it to the rotators grinder, and I was able to make my first rotations.
Once I was happy with how the rotatable gear worked, I was ready to start grinding the spice racks.
It took me about two hours of grinding and about a half hour to get everything down.
Before I start grinding, I checked the rotation.
The grinder worked well, and the rotates gears worked fine.
However, if I want to grind a spice rack more quickly, I might want to make one that has a smaller diameter.
If I want a smaller rack, I’ll need to buy one with a smaller size.
There’s a nice spice rack from Lowes that’s the size I’m looking for.
Here’s the grinder I made out of a Lowes spice rack for $9.99 at Amazon.com.
If you have a spice gridded spice rack like I do, this one is pretty cheap, too.
I used it for this recipe.
And here’s what you need to make your own rotatating spice grinders for spice rack grinder recipes.
Make the Rotating Gears 2.
Take the Rotators Gears out of their box and drill through the holes.
Connect the Rotations Gears to the Rotator Gears.
Put the Rotatable Gears in their proper places.
Take your Rotating Grinder out of your Rotators Gearbox and put it into the Rotation Gears.
Put your Rotatable Grinder into the Spindle.
Follow the instructions to get your grinder set up and ready to go.
