“I have no problem with gay marriage, but I don’t think it’s right to say I have to love you,” she said.

The Australian and New Zealand governments have not yet made a decision about the issue.

She also said she believed there was room for people who were in same-sex relationships to continue to be treated as such.

“We shouldn’t be denying people rights, but we shouldn’t treat people as if they are not human, and they are,” she told ABC Radio.
